Titanium

Titanium is our flagship material for sensitive ear earrings. It is naturally hypoallergenic, lightweight, robust and highly resistant to corrosion.
Titanium contains no nickel, which is the most common trigger for ear piercing allergies and skin rashes. It will not easily react with sweat, making it a wonderful choice for everyday wear and light physical activity.
Titanium maintains its finish and will not tarnish over time. It is strong yet comfortable, suitable for new piercings as well as long-term healed piercings.

S925 Sterling Silver

Our S925 sterling silver is used for ear posts, studs and earring components. S925 sterling silver consists of 92.5% pure silver mixed with durable alloy. All our S925 silver parts are nickel-free and lead-free, designed for sensitive ears.
Unlike titanium, sterling silver can slowly tarnish when exposed to sweat, body oils, humidity and air. This is a natural chemical property of silver, not a manufacturing defect. Simple regular cleaning will remove tarnish and restore its shine.

Our Safety Standard

Every pair of Calytris earrings is nickel-free and lead-free. We avoid cheap alloy materials that commonly cause skin irritation.
We focus on low-irritation metal selections because we know how frustrating itchy, red pierced ears can be after wearing earrings. Our materials are chosen to minimize this risk.

Important Reminder

Even hypoallergenic materials are not 100% risk-free for every person. Individual skin reactions vary. Sweat, trapped moisture, dirt and residue buildup against your piercing can still cause mild irritation over time. We recommend cleaning your earrings regularly to keep your piercings healthy.
